Greater Houston’s housing market isn’t just booming — it’s evolving. Beyond its surge of newly built homes, a new trend is taking shape: Luxury condos are entering the spotlight. The St. Regis Residences and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, The Woodlands are the first standalone condo towers in Texas for their respective brands, while the third — Tiara on the Beach — may be the first luxury condo project on Galveston Island in nearly 15 years, project officials said.

Beachside condos rising as part of Houston developer’s first Galveston project

Construction is underway on the first luxury beachside condos to be built in Galveston, Texas, in over a decade. The project, Tiara on the Beach, broke ground in December 2024, with completion set for the summer of 2027. The project's Houston-based developer, Satya, said the upscale 10-story tower will house 63 condos, including seven penthouses and two so-called penterras, which are penthouse-level homes on the first floor. Prices start at $1.2 million.
